We all love the classic Travian: Legends feel where it is all about nostalgia of the game we have been playing for a long time! Do we keep the pace of 1x or should we change things up a bit?
Let’s look into Players Feedback and Game Centre answers more closely.
➡️ – Players’ feedback
⬅️ – Game Centre Answer
The majority of the community does not want x1 gameworlds replaced by x2 gameworlds.
➡️ Feedback from the community:
- Many players like x1 because they can play and enjoy in a more chilled way.
- Try-hard players also feel that x1 try-hard is the ultimate try-hard level, and they like to keep it that way.
- Travel speed on x1 requires good strategy when playing in the higher ranks of the game instead of hoping your enemy just sleeps.
- x1 is the real Travian experience.
- They think it would discourage experienced players from the game.
- You would need to play with a dual, it would be impossible to solo an account .
- Players also prefer 1x speed because of work .
- In some communities the main argument against 2x is the price for Bonuses, Travian plus. It is too expensive at 2x (similar to 3x).
- It’s too easy to feed a huge amount of troops on X2 and it makes a gap between beginner and experienced players a lot bigger. Especially if you are not okay with dual and have only a little time each day to dedicate to the game.
- It’s already not easy to find people to analyze an operation from the enemy team on X1, if you make X2 standard, it will ruin the strategy and also make it even harder to find proper people to analyze incoming attacks since you have less time to do it.
⬅️ Game Centre:
In answer to these comments supporting the continuity of x1 speed gameworlds, the game designer expressed his gratitude: “Thank you for supporting the 1x experience, I see (your) points and agree with them as well.”
Therefore, to all you avid x1 gameworld players out there, rest assured that your favorite experience will simply not die out or be replaced.
Frequency of x1 and x2 gameworlds.
➡️ Feedback from the community:
- The frequency of x1s feels excessively high. Some regions may experience low participation in these worlds, especially during the end game.
- From almost every community we received the feedback that they would like to see more x2 gameworlds.
- Some players are against having more x2 gameworlds: The thing with x2 being competitive is because they’re limited, making them more frequent will have the same effect as on x1 with many inexperienced and bad people playing there and the more experienced and good being scattered.
⬅️ Game Centre:
In this regard, we asked the product owner and product manager who work on gameworld start frequency and planning to share their feedback. While they understand your reasons behind reduced x1 gameworld starts, they admit it is a rather uneasy approach for now, due to the strong popularity of these same gameworlds. Usually, while x2 gameworlds are released on a “two-times-a-year-per-region-basis”, it could make sense to cater to x2 enthusiasts by proposing a different frequency. This is something we are willing to do.
Merging x1 with x2 by having x1+ gameworlds?
➡️ Ideas from the community:
- There are some ideas about shortening the time of WW building. (already brought up on other channels).
- Lowering cost and construction time of capital’s fields above level 10. (already brought up on other channels).
- Keep the travel time of x1 speed.
- Consumption should be kept.
- Egyptians would need to have a rework due to resources.
⬅️ Game Centre:
This is a very welcomed suggestion. Remember the days when x2 speed gameworlds had all setup x2 except for troops and merchants travel times. This seems to go in the direction of what is requested here. This is something we would be willing to propose, typically for a “Community Week” event type gameworld, where the decision of features, settings etc, is left for the most part to the community.
We will look into what we can propose in the next instalment (which by the way, is right around the corner and we will begin shortly to share the info with you as we tweaked the Community Week according to the feedback we received for the first release). If we’re too short for the upcoming one, we will then consider for the next one. Regardless, we are extremely appreciative of your feedback and input, and are very excited to try and test setups with you.
