🏹Bowmen and Marksmen get an uplift!

In the past few months our dev team worked hard on a new feature that would add more diversity into the game and make it more balanced.

Today we are happy to announce a new feature for Huns – long-range attack!

Some of you noticed that 2 most popular Hun units – a bowman and a marksman are equipped with the bows. Today we would like to unveil the reason behind that.

Meet Bowman and a Marksman – long-range shooters!

How it works:
  • Both bowmen and marksmen will be able to launch arrows from the distance, reducing the number of defence units when the attacking army is one tile away from the target village.
  • Base number of arrows the attacking army can shoot is calculated by this formula:

ARROW_REQ=ROUND((1600*(VILLAGE_NUMBER-1)^2,3)*(FLOOR(SPEED/3)+1);-2)

  • After reaching the village the troops will fight as usual and standard battle formula will be applied.
  • Players can increase the base number of arrows by annexing lumber oases to their capital. Each annexed oasis adds 25% to the base number.
  • Hero items – Bows of Bowmen and Marksmen – will also increase max number of arrows, 10% per tier level. Therefore Short Bow will add 10%, Regular Bow will add 20%, and Longbow will add 30% to the maximum arrows the long-range shooting units can use in one wave.
  • On a defence side, 40% of units that were hit by long-range attacks will appear in the hospital as wounded.

The change will be effective on all game worlds according to the rollout plan that will be published next week.. Stay tuned and be the first to test it!

Step up your game with the strategy opportunities it gives and share your feedback in Discord!

See you on the battlefield!

P.S. This post is meant as a joke for the April, 1st. Even though we like the idea of archers and use it in their images, this change – if it ever happens – needs way more game balancing changes than what was posted. Happy April!
