First and foremost, we would like to apologize for the server issues that occurred this past weekend – Saturday, May 8th. We worked as quickly as possible with the provider to fix the hardware issue that was impacting the performance of the gameworlds.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience and hope the following info will help you understand the current situation and the steps we are taking to improve the game performance.

Let’s start by addressing the lag issues that are happening on multiple 4.6 regional gameworlds.

Sometimes they are shorter and create lag spikes, while other times it is a matter of constant small lags interfering with your gameplay experience. These lag issues in particular seem to rise to the front when sending out farmlists, when opening the map, or, for example, when sending synchronized attacks. These can sometimes be difficult or impossible to execute. To be precise, these lags are not occurring on all gameworlds running on the new technology, but some have more issues than others, for example, Europe20.

We are currently working on optimizing troop movements, as well as improving our database to ensure that our gameworlds are fully functional. Part of our team is exclusively working on these topics, as we recognize how important they are. At the same time, our provider is also working on optimizing its technology to support us.

Our primary goal is always to provide you with good server performance, as you were used to before the 4.6 release. This way you can fully enjoy the new features we develop.

Recently, we decided to start some bigger gameworlds on our previous technology to make sure the game would run smoothly, while we continue to work on optimizing the game for our newer technology. Still, our goal is to start all new servers on the new technology to support the improvements we have been making in the game.

Your feedback about the performance of new gameworlds is extremely important for us to facilitate our improvement process. This helps us to pinpoint very specific issues you notice, so we can work on improving them.
