Hot topics, hot topics EVERYWHERE. That’s Day 3 in a nutshell.
When you read “Customer Service” you might think – oh, such a boring topic! – but it turned out to be quite the opposite for our 8 Legends. Plus, as you can see from the title, we also chatted about another major topic: the Tournament.
I would go so far as to say that Day 3 turned out to be even more thrilling than Day 1 and Day 2 but I will let you be the judge of that by encouraging you to read our previous reports.
But now it is the time to dive into Day 3…
It all started in an empty room…
… that quickly turned into a battlefield, Tournament-style!
In a good way, of course 😉
First of all, our 8 Legends met the representatives of the Customer Support Team and have been informed about the changes and improvements that are planned in the department. The list is long: from making the game fairer through rule enforcement to the evaluation of current punishments. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
Of course, a major topic was multihunting. How can the entire process be improved? Why is it so time-consuming? Don’t worry, we do have an ace up the sleeve (or even multiple!) and we can’t wait to share everything with you. We just need a bit of your patience.
One point we agreed on is that we don’t like cheaters. Actually, no one likes them, but how do we effectively discourage that attitude and behavior across all communities? Do we need stronger punishments?
The infamous Rule 1.1 was the center of a complex (but extremely productive) debate. Agreeing on tangible improvements turned out to be quite hard. Yes, different communities do have different needs but eventually, we managed to find some common ground which was our ultimate goal.
The afternoon was mainly dedicated to the Tournament and to some other game design topics such as confederacies, daily quests, vacation mode, the farm list, and croppers. We will skip those for today’s report to focus on the Tournament.
Our 8 guests worked together with the Travian: Legends Team and came up with brand new requirements to win keys for the Finals in the Qualifications game worlds. The goal was making those gameworlds more appealing and encouraging players to actively play. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed! We really came up with some major changes.
Please keep in mind that like last year, the number of wildcards for the Finals will be extremely limited, so you’d better play those gameworlds! We will share all the details as soon as they are finalized, which will happen VERY soon.
And no, we didn’t forget what happened in last year’s Finals. We talked about it with our 8 Legends and discussed general improvements to the Tournament format. We are 100% sure that this year is going to be a thrilling experience.
And that’s it for today. We have one more day to come up with brilliant ideas. What’s going to happen?
See you tomorrow!
